Be-200 will be equipped with the new avionics complex ARIA-200 which meets the requirements of ICAO category III of joint Russian-American production by ARIA JV (Allied Signal Aerospace, USA and NIIAO, Russia). The interior for the Be-200 amphibious aircraft firefighting configuration is developed by AIM Aviation Fliteform. Passenger and combi configurations are on the list as well. This six wheeler with tracks is hydraulically driven and powered by a 44HP tubro charged Kubota diesel motor and has dual propellers for water speeds up to 5 knots. It features a North Maverick strutted folding wing, 40 hp engine and world-renowned Krucker floats with retractable landing gear. The Krucker float and amphib setup is designed specifically for trikes with the step moved farther forward than conventional floats. This eliminates porpoising common with other floats. The floats are produced from 5052 aluminium the same as that used in aluminium boat construction. They are corrosion resistant, have three air tight seamless chambers, and cross bracing. In flight the floats fly with a 2 degree angle of attack which decreases drag and allows the trike to fly virtually the same as it would if equipped with wheels only. As a first report I will summarize what I think I achieved by going to Oshkosh with the worlds first electric seaplane. First, I know that I have inspired a lot of people as I think that I have shown an electric aircraft is practical now, with today's technology. In flying a total of 10 flights, totaling 4.5 hours in the air at Oshkosh, I believe that I flew over ten times longer than any other electric aircraft at Oshkosh this year. Even though I never flew in front of the main crowds, I was still swamped after my flights by the relatively few people that made their way down to the ultralight runway early in the morning or just before dark when I had my time to fly in the ultralight area. Each of my 1/2 hr flights was in the same time-slot as the powered parachutes. I chose these slots because the powered parachutes had a tight flyby circuit. Had I flown in the regular ultralight slot, I would not have been seen but once every ten minutes due to the size of the circuit they were required to fly. As it was, I was able to fly down the ultralight runway every 2 minutes or so at between 100 and 300 feet high. I really must say thanks again to the parachute guys for letting me join them. In each of my 1/2 hr flights I was able to show both gliding and single engine performance of the amphib <b>...</b>

The Dobbertin Surface Orbiter is a hand built amphibious vehicle built by Rick Dobbertin The Orbiter was fabricated completely from stainless steel and was designed to circumnavigate the Earth, over land and sea without any type of support vessel. For nearly three years, Rick was in an unprecedented position to study amphibious craft design having actually lived aboard the Orbiter throughout a 28-country, 38-state adventure dubbed Project Earth-Trek. During the trip, which covered 30000 miles on land and 3000 miles at sea, he encountered everything on land from the smooth, well-kept highways of the United States to the pot-holed, wash-boarded dirt paths in the frontier of Colombia. This is some footage of www.6x6world.com 's semi-annual six wheeler ride at Busco Beach ATV park in Goldsboro, NC from the weekend of April 15-17, 2011. With strong storms rolling through the area that produced sizable tornadoes, several members had to cancel their plans to attend the event, but even so, there were around 50 6x6 World members and over 30 six and eight wheel amphibious ATVs that made it. The footage in this video shows several different ATVs manufactured by Argo, Max, Attex and Hustler. It's interesting to watch the different models and how they excel in certain situations compared to each other. Busco Beach offers many different types of terrain to ride in from sand to mud but we typically find most of our trail rides end up in the muddier trails on the outskirts of the river that surrounds the park. That is where the majority of this video was shot.
