Smaller than full sized truck, but larger than a mid-sized truck, the H3T combines the off-road capabilities of a HUMMER with a 5 foot pickup bed. The bed is large enough for 2 motorcycles or an ATV. With an optional 300hp V8, drivers will still be able to get to those far out places, and now they'll have some extra space to haul some gear as well.

The Charger nameplate dates back more than 30 years and, if one applies selective memory loss to some unloved Charger-badged cars from the late '70s and '80s, represents muscle-car era performance. In most regards, the new Charger does live up to the name. It's based on the same platform used for the Dodge Magnum wagon, which is itself based on the Chrysler 300 sedan. Like these two cars, the Charger is rear-drive, has four doors and seats five. Ah, but weren't the old Chargers two-door coupes? Erm, well, yes. In an attempt to keep the heritage intact, Dodge has styled the new car to look more like a coupe. At introduction, there are three trim levels available: SE, SXT and R/T. The SE and SXT come standard with a 250-horsepower V6 engine and a five-speed automatic transmission. The SE and SXT have a similar features list, as well, which includes 17-inch wheels, antilock brakes, stability control, power windows and locks, keyless entry, air conditioning, a tilt-and-telescope steering wheel, cruise control and a CD player. Above this, the SXT has alloy wheels, an upgraded audio system, a power driver's seat and a 60/40 split-fold rear seat. For the R/T, Dodge replaces the V6 with a Hemi 5.7-liter V8 that makes 340 hp and 375 lb.-ft. of torque. The R/T also gains 18-inch wheels, heated outside mirrors, leather seats and a Boston Acoustics audio system. There's also a reasonably impressive options list for the Charger ...

Remember when the Mitsubishi Eclipse was a AWD turbocharged coupe that combined a low price with high performance? Well apparently Mitsubishi remembers it, and It's about time, as the current Eclipse has more or less turned into a overstuffed two-door Galant in recent years, a trend they may be looking to reverse with the Concept RA.

Large sport utilities with V-8 engines are nothing new. In fact, some might even say that their day has passed as gas prices continue to rise. That hasn?t deterred some buyers, and Kia wants a slice of that pie. The Borrego is a production version of the Mesa concept we saw a couple of years ago, and its debut marks a further expansion of Kia?s model lineup and image to consumers.

Despite a projected annual production run of approximately 15000 units, the Karma comes much closer to the true definition of exclusive thanks the plug-in's first-to-market status, relatively affordable $80000 base price, lithium ion battery technology, full-electric range of 50 miles, and a gas/electric fuel economy rating of 100 mpg.

With new trucks from Chevy, Toyota, and Ford on the road, Dodge cannot afford to stand still. In the competitive truck market, you need to better and more innovative than the other guy, and that's what Dodge hopes to convince buyer's of with the new Ram full size truck.

Competitiveness is key in a free world market. But for Ford, they haven't even shown up to the sub-compact tryouts. And although that class is small, the market is large and growing rapidly. Fortunately for Ford, that's about to change. With the Verve, Ford is unveiling their entry to the "just barely a real car" race.

After dumping Chrysler, it looks like Mercedes-Benz has partnered with Subaru to create an all new luxury crossover, the Mercedes-Benz F Series... F, of course, standing for Forester. Only kidding, they didn't actually team up, but there is no doubt that upon first glance, the new Vision GLK from Mercedes-Benz carries a strong resemblance to the Subaru Forester.

The Saturn Astra is an all-new car. At least it's new to the American automotive landscape: Astra has been offered for years in Europe under the Opel flag, where it's been giving the VW Golf a run for top-seller bragging rights. The new Astra is so much better in every respect than the Saturn model it replaces that we've forgotten the earlier compact's name.

Car enthusiasts love performance machines, but if we want to pilot our boy racers through the winding roads of tomorrow we?ll have to marry performance and environmental sustainability or hang up our driving gloves; the Taiki demonstrates how we might achieve this.

This is a little different from some of my ride videos. It is more of a scouting guide to a new route I took to meet other rides in a group ride in Irvine. I took Santa Clara Street through Santa Ana to get across town and intentionally took a hill climbing route up and over Lemon Heights rather than south around the hills in order to check out the hill route and try the upper peters canyon trail that I could use to come down the other side. This was from some old footage I shot over a month and a half ago before the Tour de Cure Ride. Ride was on April 16, 2011. This video is only the ride to the start of the group ride. The whole ride was a 72 mile 3400 foot climb ride. I will post the rest of the ride in a week or so.

After years of having fuel cell prototypes in the hands of fleets and even paying customers, Honda makes good on its commitment to a hydrogen future. The 2007 Los Angeles Auto Show was the venue for the introduction of the FCX Clarity, an Accord-sized sedan with styling based on the FCX Concept from a few years ago that promises to "enable levels of performance room, comfort and dynamic styling previous unattainable in a fuel cell car."
