The amazing Jim Peterik (Ides Of March, Survivor) opens his book of secrets and vast knowledge to help the novice and experienced alike. Along with the smartly written guide book: "Songwriting For Dummies", Jim Peterik with The Ides Of March have created an impressive "Outreach Program" for musicians and songwriters. I was fortunate enough to serve as DP, shooter, lighting and editor for this cool project. Also did the voice-over narration. Used my HD Sony V1U camera with a rich picture profile to get the nice skin tones, etc. Did some color enhancing and correction. You'll notice the extra sharp titles in Jim's hit montage! The full res version is just amazing looking.

Original announcement email description of the show: "It's not often that we break from our regular formula of one band, one month - so when we do, it's for something really special. We created the Signature Series to showcase these shows that do not fit in to our usual charter, and this time, we answer the throngs that have asked us "Will you guys ever do a one-hit wonders show"? Yes, we will. But the One Hit Wonder is not a rare bird - on the contrary - there are hundreds of top ten hits by artists who never even sniffed the charts again - thousands if you expand that to the top 40. So how could we possibly get it done? We decided that we need to divide this up into eras to make the pool a little smaller, and we're starting with the 1970s - and what a deep and wide pool it is. Left over psychedelia and folk from the 60s, the heart of the disco era, the richest vein of art rock ever, and the beginnings of the 80s electronica sound are all present here, and so much more. The 70s were a time of experimentation in America in all walks of life, especially in the music scene. There are the quirky little ditties that were too catchy to forget, and the incredible songs that you always thought were part of a larger catalog, but weren't. And we will touch on all of it."

He is best known as a member of the band Survivor and as vocalist and songwriter of the hit song "Vehicle" by The Ides of March. He also co-wrote the anthem "Eye of the Tiger," the theme from the motion picture Rocky III. Peterik has co-written songs for the likes of .38 Special, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Blackhawk, Cheap Trick, Sammy Hagar, Cathy Richardson, Van Zant, Brian Wilson, and REO Speedwagon. He is currently fronting melodic rock band Pride of Lions, smooth-jazz project Jim Peterik's Lifeforce, and has a regular series of yearly concert performances with an all-star cast as World Stage.
